International Data Corporation (IDC) have recently announced that Egencia remains a leader in corporate travel booking applications in the IDC 2022-2023 MarketScape report.
Egencia was last recognised by IDC in its 2019-2020 report, so we’re thrilled to be a leader once more.
About the IDC MarketScape
IDC are the premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services and events for the information technology, telecommunications and consumer technology markets.
The IDC MarketScape vendor assessment model is designed to provide an overview of the competitive fitness of ICT (information and communications technology) suppliers in a given market.
The research uses a rigorous scoring methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria that results in a single graphical illustration of each vendor’s position within a given market.
IDC MarketScape provides a clear framework where the product and service offerings, capabilities and strategies and current and future market success factors of IT and telecommunications vendors can be meaningfully compared. The framework also provides technology buyers with a 360-degree assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of current and prospective vendors.
How did Egencia remain a leader?
The report analysed several companies in the corporate travel booking applications space, assessing each on the same set of capabilities and strategies.
Egencia was acknowledged for its data-led product innovation and global travel coverage in more than 60 countries. In addition to flights, hotel bookingand car hire, we were recognised for our online rail booking in the US and major European countries including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands.
Customer Satisfaction Award
And if that wasn’t enough, Egencia placed in the highest scoring group of vendors for customer satisfaction ratings in Travel and Expense. Recognised for delivering substantial value to our clients as well as continually innovating to meet evolving customer expectations.
The ratings are based on IDC’s global survey of approximately 2,400 organisations across all geographic regions and company sizes, where customers were asked to rate their vendor on over 30 different customer satisfaction metrics.
John Sturino, VP Product & Technology, Egencia, says, ‘Travel managers want a platform that empowers them to expertly manage their programs and proves the value of their TMC, while bringing the benefits of consumer-grade experiences to travellers. This recognition by IDC is a strong affirmation that Egencia is not only meeting those evolving needs, but empowering customers and travellers to get the most out of business travel’.
